Pinyin Alphabet, also known as the Chinese phonetic alphabet, is a system for transcribing Chinese characters into Latin script. It's widely used for Chinese language learning and is the foundation of many input methods on computers.

Pinyin Alphabet Structure

The Pinyin alphabet consists of 26 basic Latin letters (A to Z) plus four additional vowels with diacritics: à, è, ì, ù.

  • Consonants (b, p, m, f, d, t, n, l, g, k, h, j, q, x, zh, ch, sh, r, z, c, s)
  • Vowels (a, o, e, i, u, ü)
  • Diacritics (á, é, í, ó, ú, ü)
