Conditional Sentences
Conditional sentences explore hypothetical situations. They often use if clauses with specific verb tenses:
- Zero Conditional: If you heat ice, it melts 🌀
- First Conditional: If it rains, we'll stay home ☔
- Second Conditional: If I were rich, I would travel the world 🌍
- Third Conditional: If she had studied, she would have passed 📚
Subjunctive Mood
The subjunctive mood is used for hypothetical or desired actions:
- It is important that he be on time ✅
- If I were you, I would reconsider 🤔
- She suggested that we go to the park 🚶♂️
Inversion (Inversion)
Inversion flips the subject and verb in certain contexts:
- Never have I seen such a beautiful sunset 🌅
- Only after the meeting did she realize the error 🧠
- So polite was he that everyone admired him 🙌
