Here are some examples of grammar in English:
Nouns
- Common Nouns are general names of people, places, or things.
- The cat sat on the mat.
- Proper Nouns are specific names for people, places, or things.
- My name is John.
- We visited Paris last year.
Verbs
- Actions verbs show what someone or something is doing.
- She reads books every day.
- State verbs describe a condition or state of being.
- The weather is sunny today.
Adjectives
- Adjectives describe or modify nouns.
- The red car is fast.
- Adverbs modify verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs.
- She runs quickly.
Sentences
- A simple sentence has one subject and one verb.
- The dog barks.
- A compound sentence has at least two independent clauses.
- The sun is shining, and the birds are singing.

Grammar Rules
Subject-Verb Agreement
- The subject and verb must agree in number.
- Correct: They are happy.
- Incorrect: They are is happy.
- The subject and verb must agree in number.
Pronoun-Antecedent Agreement
- The pronoun must agree with its antecedent in number and gender.
- Correct: He runs fast.
- Incorrect: She runs fast.
- The pronoun must agree with its antecedent in number and gender.
