Biography Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) was an Italian polymath whose interests included invention, painting, sculpting, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, literature, anatomy, geology, astronomy, botany, writing, history, and cartography. He is widely considered one of the greatest painters of all time and perhaps the most diversely talented person ever to have lived.

- The Last Supper: This mural painting in the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan depicts the moment of the Last Supper of Jesus with his twelve disciples.
