Machine Learning is a subset of Artificial Intelligence (AI) that focuses on the development of algorithms that can learn from and make predictions or decisions based on data.

What is Machine Learning?

Machine Learning is about creating systems that learn from data. It's the process of teaching a computer to learn from examples, instead of being explicitly programmed to perform a specific task.

Types of Machine Learning

  • Supervised Learning: The system is trained on a labeled dataset, meaning each data point is paired with the correct output.
  • Unsupervised Learning: The system is trained on an unlabeled dataset, meaning the system must find patterns in the data without any guidance.
  • Reinforcement Learning: The system learns by performing actions and receiving feedback in the form of rewards or penalties.

Applications of Machine Learning

Machine Learning has a wide range of applications, including:

  • Image and Speech Recognition
  • Natural Language Processing
  • Financial Modeling
  • Medical Diagnostics
  • Autonomous Vehicles
