Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring two verification methods. Here's how to enable and use 2FA:
Enable 2FA
- Navigate to your account settings and locate the Security Center section.
- Toggle on Two-Factor Authentication and select your preferred method (e.g., SMS, Authenticator App).
Set Up Verification Method
- For Authenticator App (e.g., Google Authenticator):
- Scan the QR code with your app to link it to your account.
- Note the 6-digit code generated by the app and enter it on the verification page.
- For SMS:
- Enter your phone number and confirm the One-Time Password (OTP) sent via text.
- For Authenticator App (e.g., Google Authenticator):
Backup Codes
- Download and save backup codes provided during setup. These are critical if you lose access to your primary verification method.
- Store them securely, such as in a password manager or physical safe.
