Key Principles of GDPR

Compliance with GDPR

To comply with GDPR, organizations must:

  • Appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO): A DPO is responsible for overseeing data protection strategy and implementation.
  • Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA): Conduct DPIAs to identify and mitigate risks to data subjects.
  • Data Subject Rights: Implement procedures to ensure the rights of data subjects are respected and enforced, such as the right to access, rectify, and delete personal data.
  • Data Breach Notification: Notify the relevant supervisory authority and affected data subjects about data breaches within a certain timeframe.
